Description

Johnnie Walker Aged 18 Years is an intensely rich and wildly indulgent Scotch that perfectly balances a trilogy of flavours and textures – sweet fruit, creamy smoothness and warm spice. Our craftsmen have handpicked whiskies slowly aged through 18 long years.

Initially sent off as essentially Johnnie Walker Platinum Name, it was renamed to Matured 18 Years in mid 2017.

As the name would propose, this is a whisky which is mixed from hand-picked whiskies which have been barrel matured for quite a long time. This is a seriously rich Scotch, and elements a blend (up to 18) of various whiskies, which are picked for their particular profundity of flavor and character inborn in the refinery. These incorporate any semblance of Cardhu, Glen Elgin, Auchroisk and Blair Athol.

Through each passing time of the maturing system, layers of perplexing flavors are constructed, the mixing is then finished by ace blender Jim Beveridge, to guarantee it fulfills the ‘platinum’ guideline like its unique name.

The fragrance of this is genuinely liberal, and brings rich, extravagant flavors. Joining this is a smidgen of chocolate, and a bit of smoke.

In the mouth there is an explosion of pleasantness from natural product which runs over in a wanton smooth mouth-feel. Botanical notes, a dash of smoke, sugar coated leafy foods sultanas tempt the taste-buds as well.

The completion is long and extravagant, with warming cinnamon and honey.
